The mindset of a true fighter is like no other.
The vision of winning is set, as though the outcome is inevitable, it’s a matter of fact. Without a shred of doubt, no obstacle can get in the way, and through complete and utter dedication, self belief and discipline, the boxer believes there is only one outcome, the win.
Boxing is an artform and lifestyle of its own. It takes blood, sweat, tears, heart and soul. Boxers need to be up at the break of dawn, no matter how broken from the previous nights training.
Sickness rarely stops them, obstacles, they overcome, damage doesn’t get in their way. Come rain or shine, day in, day out they push forward towards their goal.
Though often fatigued, mentally and physically exhausted, in worlds of pain, from the depths of their mind, they summon strength. Highly determined, focused, motivated and passionate, they cannot stop, for they know, that to stop is to accept defeat.
Boxing is metaphor for life. When you take the hits, (and the hits will come) when life throws everything at you, you must get back up, take a deep breath, and keep going. And if you do, we all know, you will come back stronger.
Waking up in the morning can be especially hard when life keeps throwing the punches at you. It’s something we know only too well ourselves. But, like the boxer, with determination, and a mind focused on a positive path from first thing in the morning, you will be more determined and stronger for the rest of the day, and everyday thereafter.
This is what Rise & Shine stands for.
In fact, what we’re saying here, has been said many times, so, without further ado, please allow us to quote one of the greatest movies of all time:
“Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!” Rocky Balboa
