Focus Group – First Meeting

Today was a first for Rise & Shine, as 7 new user testers met up in the first ‘Focus Group’ for app development.

The meeting was held at Riverside Leisure, Little Stoke, Bristol – where Matt holds his hypnotherapy and runs personal training sessions – and was designed to get face-to-face detailed feedback. We had felt that, although the first round of ‘remote’ user testing (feedback via emails and online questionnaires)  had gone well, with some positive feedback, we really needed more detailed information from the users, so we needed to get to know the users in person.

Matt started the session by asking each person in the group what interested them in the app, and why they were keen to be involved. A couple of users had different shifts and their sleep was all over the place. Some were suffering from depression or mood swings, but an overall consensus was that if they could all wake up better, then everyone would be happier. Matt went on to explain the power of our subconscious and discussed the project in more detail.

The user group will be meeting regularly to discuss their experiences and give feedback, as well as sharing experiences via a private facebook group.

“Sitting in front of a group of people and talking about the project felt so exciting, and the feedback about how useful the app might be for people, even in the first instance, was brilliant. This user group is going to be very important to the project.”

Rise & Shine would like to thank all participants in both the online testing and the new focus group.
